The development of a
Student Council has
excellent
educational and
practical benefits.
Central to Green
School's belief in
learning by doing,
the development of
an inner school
working democracy
for students allows
a practical way of
the school & staff
listening to the
student body whilst
the students learn
about advantages and
pitfalls of the
world's pre-eminent
political system.
Each
class has two
elected offices
whilst the school
body elects a
president. The
elections take place
in the fall.
Rahul Bothra writes:
"Being the student body President of Green School has been a great and fantastic experience. I was glad to be elected and I think that I made a strong impression as the first Green School President. By the standard of a school that is a year old now
Green School has had a fantastic start. Green
School has become a once in a life time experience for every student that has studied on the campus, with the great teachers, beautiful scenery, and amazing bamboo structures. I for one, am really happy I got to be a part of this amazing once in a lifetime experience and am proud to be part of the council. I hope to see you in Green School, and have a great time."
