The first thing you
notice on entering a
Green School
classroom is the
quiet, for the rooms
have no walls & no
ceilings for sound
to reflect off. This
allows the sounds of
nature to gently
permeate into the
voices of teachers
and children, as
well as giving the
rooms a delightful
airy feel. It's our
belief that this
calm and natural
environment is more
conducive to
learning, allows
more creative
thinking and
generates a more
harmonious
environment.
Each classroom is generously sized with enough space
for children to all be seated at desks and for them to sit around in a
circle on the floor or in a pod. The pod is an air conditioned bubble
which may be used if the weather is particularly hot and the the breeze
is having a day off. Each classroom also has its own washroom and toilet
area making the classroom areas self contained.
